what an incredibly wasteful use of time... who does that?

I am going to read every Watchtower and Awake! magazine
by slimboyfat ini am not doing too well at the moment with my uc and am practically housebound.
so i have decided to do something productive and finally read all the magazines the society have ever published.
i remember greg stafford claiming that he has read all the watchtowers and thinking that was a good idea to get a real overview of the witnesses' history and development of theology and ideology.

Freemason Robert Boyle highlighted in March 2013 Awake! (page 14 & 15)
by Calebs Airplane into some, he's known as the father of chemistry.
to others, he's known as the inventor of the air pump.
to the watchtower bible & tract society, he's known as a great scientist who taught others how to separate truth from fiction (ironic) and one of the main pioneers in introducing the name jehovah (iehobhah) into the bible.... but who was he really at the end of the day?

Got it...
the next time I see a 2-page spread about a famous Catholic or a famous Lutheran (or a famous "whatever") in a WT or Awake, I'll be sure to start a thread about it on this board... hopefully that will cancel out my strictly prohibited freemason thread resulting in my "reinstatement"...

Off my rocker for saying what?
Seems like anyone who mentions the word "freemason" on this board is immediately attacked and insulted. Why is that?
I have not mentioned any conspiracy theories... just a fact... Boyle was a Freemason who got a 2-page spread on an Awake mag... what is so "off-the-rocker" about that?
I guess the rule here is "say absolutely nothing about Freemasons" lest you get censored or insulted immediately...
Lesson learned...

Slimboy...
It doesn't have to be a global conspiracy about illuminatis, lizards, etc... but there is definitely a long-standing relationship between the WT and Freemasonry...
And I certainly don't think the WT is trying to start a One-World government... but I am noticing frequent mentions of freemasons in the last few years...
just saying...

But who was he really at the end of the day? A Freemason who studied occult sciences.
So what is the Watchtower's obsession with Freemasons lately??? And why did Robert Boyle get a 2-page spread on an already anorexic Awake mag?

If 1914 is wrong then how is it that it was such a landmark year?
by awakening inthis is the question that came up in my mind.
now dont get me wrong i know the dates from 607 - 1914 are rubbish, but how would you explain to a witness when they will automatically say, look at the momentus year 1914 was.
that is evidence enough that 607 is correct!.

There were many doomsday religions latching on to John Aquila Brown's in the 1870s.
On thing thay had in common was that that they were all throwing darts at a calendar in their futile attempts to predict Armageddon... Some were saying 1912, others were saying 1913, 1917, etc...
The ones that came "close" to the bulls eye were the Bible Students... They hit October 1914 (instead on July 1914... the start of WWII)... but keep in mind that the prediction was for Armageddon to arrive in 1914 (not a World War)...
Also, they were teaching that Jesus had taken the throne in 1874 (and didn't change it to 1914 until the late 20's)...
But the Watchtower has managed to put their spin on these events knowing all too well that most Dubs will simply believe them and not make any effort to investigate the facts...

PO refuses to give me a "shepherding" visit ... wtf ???
by Calebs Airplane inso 2 weeks ago i received an email from the po... he wants to give my wife and i a shepherding call very soon... but get this... he mentioned that they had already made shepherding calls to the entire congo and we were the only ones left... i don't know whether i'm i supposed to feel loved or despised (by that completely irrelevant comment).
he's probably doing this to impress the co who is probably visiting soon.... my response to his email was basically: no problem... please feel free to stop by anytime... however, no need to come with a second person.
i would prefer a 1 on 1 meeting (not 2 on 1).

So 2 weeks ago I received an email from the PO... He wants to give my wife and I a shepherding call very soon... but get this... he mentioned that they had already made shepherding calls to the entire congo and we were the ONLY ones left... I don't know whether I'm I supposed to feel loved or despised (by that completely irrelevant comment). He's probably doing this to impress the CO who is probably visiting soon...
My response to his email was basically: No problem... please feel free to stop by anytime... however, no need to come with a second person. I would prefer a 1 on 1 meeting (not 2 on 1). Also, since I now encourage my wife to think independently and make her own decisions, you'd have to ask her directly if she would like to receive a visit from you. (btw, I was hoping he'd agree to a 1 on 1 with me so I can pull out some authentic old publications I have stashed away in a box.. more about that in another thread soon)
But, after 2 weeks, I received no response to my email; so I called him up and asked him when he would like to stop by. He responded: 'Caleb, you know we can't do these sheperding calls with just one elder and you were very specific about that in your response to my email, remember?'
My immediate thought was: wtf ??? which scripture did they twist around to arrive at that idiotic conclusion?
But I decided to take a deep breath and ask him what scriptures say anything about that... he couldn't remember the exact scripture but mentioned "the one where the apostles were sent in pairs to different territories"
Yes... believe it or not, he couldn't remember that scripture. (neither could I, but I've been out for several years now)
Anyway, I'll spare you all the back and forth that ensued over the phone. Suffice to say that this elder is extremely hard core to the bone and didn't yield one iota on his biblically baseless stance about the 2-elder shepherding call...
So my question to any existing or ex-elders on this forum is this... What the hell is my PO talking about? Where is he getting this idea that he can't go on a shepherding call alone even when a Dub specifically requests it?
